Media Crash Course:

ACE Your Interview

Learn to ACE (Adapt, Communication and Evaluate) your interview and effectively and genuinely deliver your message. Amanda Mason has extensive experience both in front and behind the camera. Whether your interview is in-studio, live, or over Zoom, Amanda will break down how to prepare you to put your best message forward. Through this workshop you will learn how to overcome nerves by strategically preparing simple points to guide your interview. You can also translate these skills learned to improve your presentations at work, public speaking, and even communicating with clients. Let's ACE this!

interview Workshop: How to get the job

Available for all ages. Amanda can customize a workshop from middle school to high school to help young students get prepared for their first job interview. From what to wear to the beginning of creating a resume and even the importance of their social media messages and how it plays into job hunting. She'll offer a workbook for students to develop critical thinking skills and visualize their interviews to reduce nerves.

This program can also be customized for adults who need to brush up on their interview skills. Preparation is critical, and a little goes a long way. Amanda will work with you in a mock interview setting to recognize and work to eliminate bad habits, get you prepared to give meaningful answers, and guide you on researching the company to help your interviewer envision you as a team member.

Career Day Workshop

From elementary to college level, Amanda can break down the roles within a newsroom and the importance of journalist ethics. She has held many roles within a news station and can speak from first hand experience, explaining the day in the life of reporter, anchor, forecaster, social media producer and news producer. This is an opportunity to learn more about the importance of current events and how social media plays a significant role in the way news is consumed. Journalism is more than just story-telling but a way to make a difference.

Whether it is for your business, nonprofit, community club, school, Scout troop, or any group of individuals who want to learn more, Amanda is available to offer workshops to you in-person and virtual.
